Our customers already know we’re passionate about good raw milk and raw milk products, like cheese and butter! In fact, many of them/you are just as passionate and determined to feed your family and yourself the best possible products around, which is why you go straight to the farmer, avoiding all the bad components that are required for products to get and stay (way too long) on the shelves of a grocery store. As you bypass these harmful components, you receive a multitude of benefits and good ingredients that naturally occur.

For starters, raw milk is a good source of vitamin A, magnesium, zinc and thiamine (B1). Additionally,  it’s an excellent source of protein and contains hundreds of different healthy fatty acids, including conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3s. It also contains higher amounts of beneficial antioxidants, such as vitamin E and beta-carotene, which help reduce  inflammation and fight oxidative stress.

However, you may not need convinced that it’s healthy. You may just need to find a way that you really enjoy consuming it. Drinking a glass of milk is not for everyone. So here are some additional ideas for getting raw milk into your diet. We opted for recipes that leave the milk raw and therefore still offers the maximum nutritional benefits. Try some out and let us know what you think!

Make Kefir

Kefir is essentially fermented milk. We make and sell this product as well but we love when our customers get hands on at home and understand the process. You may find you really enjoy the act of making kefir at home and turn it into a hobby. You may just come to appreciate the product and the process a bit more and buy it from us. Either way, it’s great for your gut helath and therefore a smart addition to any diet.

Raw Milk (or kefir) Smoothies

These recipes are super simple. Just make sure you substitute raw milk anytime they suggest another type of dairy or dairy substitute. Smoothies are an excellent way to not only sneak in raw milk if you’re not a fan, but also other nutrient packed foods you don’t find yourself eating enough of throughout the week, like greens and citrus. If you check the produce patch before ordering your raw milk, you may be able to get many of the ingredients in one place.

Protein Packed Breakfast (or dessert) Bowls

We hear about a lot of people making these types of bowls for breakfast but if you’re feeling rushed for time in the morning, consider adding them to the end of your day. They may even help curb you away from choosing a sugar-packed dessert. Like the smoothies, there are a lot of different ingredients you could add to make it your own. The raw milk helps tie everything together and balance the flavors. We suggest you let it sit for a minute before digging in so the milk really soaks into your crunchy ingredients the perfect amount, making every bite extra delightful!
